Personal information you provide

When you fill out my contact form, you provide some personal information. This is your name and email address, and any other information you choose to add to the "Anything else I need to know?" comments area.

If you choose to leave me a review using the review form, you provide me with your name, email address and company name.

Information automatically collected

My analytics programme automatically collects and anonymises the following data when anyone visits my website:

• Date and time of visit
• Which menu buttons were clicked
• The pages visited
• What device was used (i.e Desktop)
• The browser used to view my website (i.e Firefox, Chrome)
• The country in which my website was accessed
• Referring source, for example, via search engine or link in a marketing campaign.

I want to process as little personal information as possible when you use our website. That's why I've chosen Plausible Analytics for my website analytics, which doesn't use cookies and complies with the GDPR, ePrivacy (including PECR), COPPA and CCPA. Using this privacy-friendly website analytics software, your IP address is only briefly processed, and I (running this website) have no way of identifying you. As per the CCPA, your personal information is de-identified. Here is how Plausible Analytics work.

The purpose of me using this software is to understand my website traffic in the most privacy-friendly way possible so that I can continually improve my website and business. The lawful basis as per the GDPR is "Article 6(1)(f); where our legitimate interests are to improve our website and business continually." As per the explanation, no personal data is stored over time.

Cookies

The only cookie I use on darrensims.co.uk is Turnstile. This is a Cloudflare security product designed to stop non-human web visitors. It works without showing visitors a CAPTCHA.

So, if you fill out my form you will this cookie will verify that you are human without you having to go through one of those annoying CAPTCHA tests. Nice, eh!
